1960s Woven Straw Tote / Beach Bag
Ugh, such a lovely bag. Honestly want to keep this one, but how many beach / bags can a girl who doesn’t live in Hawai’i anymore need!?
No tags on this cutie but I’d place as 1960s/70s based on design and quality of construction. Nine woven straw squares with flower motif make up the front & back of the bag, reminiscent of a granny square afghan. Sides are tighter net weave. Handles are wrapped wood; loop & button closure at top. Nice & tall, holds a couple of rolled up towels and all your goodies; or use it as your produce bag at the market!

CONDITION: Excellent for age!! Structurally sound. Blue tinge marking at top corner, and the wrapping on one handle came a bit loose & was glued down. See photos!
